Loras College Peace Institute

The Loras College Peace Institute is a DAY CAMP experience from 9am-7pm, February 25, 26 & 27. 

Twenty-five high school-aged youth will have the opportunity to explore peace-building strategies with Loras College staff and Dubuque-area community leaders. 

Participants will learn concrete strategies that enable them to discover paths to peace with self, community, creation, and the world. Applicants from a variety of faith traditions and racial and economic backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

HERE IS WHAT WE ARE PLANNING:

-  Small group activities related to nonviolence and social justice.

-  Exploring interfaith cooperation and peacebuilding across lines of religious and cultural difference.

-  Touring the Loras campus and getting to know Loras students involved in Peace and Justice.

-  Optional morning yoga and mindfulness sessions.

-  Option to meet with professors in your field of interest on the final day of the Peace Institute.
